We have 13, five week old chicks free ranging in our backyard with an open pool. We have not had any problems until we took in a 2 week old chick that seems to be attracted to the pool! She has only gone in once, swam from the deep end (awkwardly) almost to the shallow end before my husband could jump in to get her. Now she will occasionally hang out on the cool deck around the pool and I am worried she is going to go back in. Anyone had problems with this? I didn't even know chickens could swim.
