Swing Set converted into A- Frame coop almost completed. Needs windows, trim, roof, ramp and primed

Nice re-purposing job!

Check Craig's list for windows. I found four windows that came out of an early 1900's barn for $40 from a guy that does salvage work. I have to strip them and replace the glazing compound, but they're very attractive and cost less than a pane of plex that has no frame to work with. The were originally double-hung (slide up and down), but I'm going to hinge them, with either an indexed prop or a rope and pulley to control amount of airflow.

Thanks. That's agreat idea. Post pix of your windows when they're done! I'd love to see them! I'll start searching Craigslist now!

Here is the almost finished coop. We still need to add a few finishing touches as soon as the weather warms up>

Wonderful idea! Windows: if you have a Habitat for Humanity ReStore in your area, they have loads of windows, and many odd shapes, also. For vents: Home Depot and Lowes have vents for houses, about $2.00 for small one (about 4" x 8", maybe?) with screen on the inside. Since they're not wide open, but are made with rows of "fins" they will keep rain out. We bought "salesman's sample" (small, in a carry-case frame) for our little bantam coop, as a full-sized window wouldn't fit--from Habitat ReStore.
