Switch Feeds?

Hey All.
My birds are 6 weeks old yesterday. I have enough starter feed to get them to 7 weeks +/-.
It was a medicated Blue Seal Brand.
Should I then buy grower feed? or stay with starter for a bit longer?
My local feed store carries Purina. Should I just get some Start & Grow?

Why don't you try Purina Flock Raiser? That is for chickens of all ages.

There are many ways you can go here.

IF the medication in the chick feed is only Amprolium you can keep on feeding it to them until they lay their first eggs. Or you can switch them to grower. Or go to a general purpose poultry ration like Purina Flock Raiser when they hit about eight weeks. Any of these will work. When they do lay their first eggs supplement them with oyster shell if you won't be feeding a complete layer ration.

I would go with the Blue Seal Grower Cal if that is your only 2 choices.
Now if the place you get your feed from is a dealer of Blue Seal Feed I would see if the have or can get Blue Seal Chick N' Game Bird Starter/Grower Crumbles. I believe that you will be happier using it.

Purina Start and grow doesn't contain animal proteins and fats so that is a big mark against them in my book. Chickens are omnivore and I believe that they need/ should have a sores of animal proteins and fats in there feed....

They also state
