Switching Chick feed

Hey guys, I just received the the MannaPro Starter Grower - the crumbles are a lot bigger than my old one - the Purina. Should I feed them grit now since they are bigger crumbles? My chicks are almost 5 months. Thanks

They won't need grit because of the crumble size. They may need grit because of outdoor access and the things they'll eat because of that.

Crumbles and pellets are usually made of finely ground material, and fall apart again when they get wet. So grit is not needed.

It's easy to check-- just drop some crumbles in water, and look again in a few minutes.
