I have eggs in an incubator that have one week left to go and a hen that just set yesterday. I wanted the hen ,originally , to set the eggs in the incubator but she wasn't ready to set so I put them in the incubator. Now she wants to set , if I switch eggs and put the ones with one week left to go under her , will she hatch them properly? and not turn them too much as it is time to hatch? I don't want to mess up the hatch as I paid good money for the eggs but would rather the hen raised them. Sorry for the confusing story. Thanks for any info , Jim

Hi I'm in the same boat. I think she should be fine. Just make us she's separated from other chickens. Maybe just put a few eggs under her and see what happens. Good luck!

She is locked in a small (4foot by 4 foot pen ) I think this is her first time to set.
