Switching food from crumbles to pellets not going well

any other ways you’ve used the crumble powder?

I mix crumble feed with water. They love it and there's zero waste.

I must say I never had a problem changing to pellets when the time comes. I never mix food if I'm changing it, either. IDK

The point of transitioning via mixing is to allow their gut to acclimate to any changes in formula, not necessarily to get them used to the taste. If it's all from the same brand, there might not be much difference in the ingredients and chickens aren't nearly as fragile in this regard as say a reptile or rabbit who will end up dying from intestinal blockage.
Just don't expect their poos to be the prettiest for a few days if you're making drastic changes to their diet.
