My Plym Rock girls are about 18 weeks old now... plenty big enough to switch to regular sized scratch grains ...right ?

Yes that would be old enough. I hope that you are only giving scratch grains as a treat and not their primary food.

Oh yes... they only get a small handful of grain each day
