Our 17 little gals are almost 5 weeks old now. They were all vaccinated against coccidiosis at the hatchery and it was recommended that we feed them "non-medicated" chick starter so as not to "counteract" the vaccine. We have been feeding them non-medicated feed, but I'm starting to figure out that the medicated feed is WAY cheaper. How long should I go before switching them over to medicated (if at all)?

Thanks for the input (newbie).

There is no way that the non-medicated feed would be cheaper than the SAME ration without medication. You need to ensure that you are comparing apples to apples.
