Here is a photo of Caroline -- she is 3.5 years old and has a very swollen abdomen. This has been going on for a bit now on and off. she slows down, but is eating and foraging with her companion ducks. Any ideas? Doesn't seem to be a prolapsed vent. Thank you!

How long has it been since she laid an egg? Could it be a hernia or is she egg bound? Poor girl, looks uncomfortable. Good thing it isn't winter. Hope she feels better soon.

I found this, not sure if it helps or not. Very informative.
Thanks so much! I highly doubt she is egg-bound because this has gone on and off for awhile now. And she comes out of the coop, eats, drinks and forages during free range time with the others. She gets slow and will stand still sometimes, so I know she is uncomfortable....I think a vet visit is in order we just don't have many around here that treat. Thanks again!

I think fluid or hernia -- I don't think she is egg bound because this has happened on and off...I have four laying ducks so I have a hard time keeping track of who is laying when. I wish there was a better way...Thank you for your help!
