Is there an over the counter diuretic for chickens? If so, what is it and what is the dosage?
I read on another thread about water-pills helping someone’s hen with bloat (it wasn’t furosemide which requires prescription), I cannot find that thread anymore.
Trying to avoid draining; my hen isn’t that bloated yet and seems to actually be doing better. Figured a diuretic may help.

Sorry, I haven't been on here in awhile. She didn't make it. I did end up draining her to make her more comfortable. She got even more bloated. From what the vet said about the color of the liquid I drained (it was a clear yellow like urine), it was most likely liver failure. Thank you for asking.

May I ask what exactly you fed this bird?
