:rolleyes:Hi I am new to this site. I have been raising chickens for 18 years now after teaching my children about embryology. We hatched our first set, then bought replacement chicks from then on. My question is about one of my 4 year old Rhode Island Reds (Amber). I noticed that her feet were getting bumps on them. I have never seen this before. I came across your site last week and saw a posting that seemed to match what she has. I soaked her feet and used a pin and squeezed out seem to look like ricotta cheese. I applied some bacatracin and bandaged her feet and kept her in a cage for 3 days. The problem is her feet are still bad. One is really bad. I don't know what to do. She lifts her foot, looks at me and sighs. I am hoping someone can tell me what to do. I also have 6 new chicks, though my other chickens have had no problem, should I keep them seperate? Thank you

This sounds like bumblefoot to me. Do a search for "bumblefoot" and you will come up with tons of info. Good luck and
