we have a white legger cochin cross she is about oh I would guess maybe 5 mo old. she is getting a very swollen eye socket. if you look down from the top of her head it looks like the eye socket is bulging out or all swollen. we had this happen to one other bird like one year ago and she died what should I do. I have isolated her. can I help her, she is a sweet bird... why oh why is it always the good hens that get sick...

if you can help I would apreciate it...

anyone there that can help. I remember hearing it could be a respatory infection when the last one got it but I dont know what to give it to see if that is it. any ideas?

if anyone can get back to me soon I would really apreciate it...

Well please see my post from today. Our little maran started the day with a swollen eye and I thought she would die today. I now feel a little better after the vet prescribed an injectable general antibiotic and an general eye ointment. The 2 drugs are listed on my thread. I wish you the best. It is so upsetting. We had to take her to a vet.

I gave her tylan last ngiht but I was not sure of the dose I will do polly sporin in eye today if that is what you used? I dont understand what the heck is causing this. I am going to start birds on durimyacin to be safe. I do not want it to spread to flock what eles can I do can I put tylan in watter?

how do I get an answer to this quickly? I really need help.....
