swollen eye

hi everyone
got a silkie hen about 12 weeks old noticed last nite her eye was slighty shut.had a closer look and saw it was swollen , bathed it with cold tea and it opened abit more.has a look this morning its open abit more still swollen and looking cloudy/watery she eating and drinking well any ideas thanks.off to work now so want be back it later tonight

I am going to my vet today for this same thing on a 1 week old hen. She said to do warm water compresses. I will let you knoe if she gives me any other tips.

My little girl has Conjunctivitis, they gave me medicated eye drops. You might want to try contacting a vet about drops.

hiya thanks for replying.been given some saline solution by a friend with birds he told me that it should help her out going to try it tonight and see what shes like in the morning
