Glad that she is a little better. I live in OH also, and have heard that state vets insist on going through a local vet for testing and necropsies. I have never sought any of their services. That can add to costs. Many states will deal directly with clients.

I heard there’s a vet who cares for chickens somewhere around Wooster.
My problem is we don’t have money to spend on a 5 week old chicken that we just got. I could trade her from the breeder but we really don’t want to get another bird from that farm. They aren’t npip but she was nice and had nice birds so we took a chance. Never again!
Do you know anyone in Ohio who has nice blue laced red wyandottes? We’ve been looking for a couple nice breeding hens or pullets.
