swollen eyes on chicken :'(

hey, sorry i cant post pics but, i have a young juvenile chicken that has both of his eyes swollen shut. there is a small amount of crust on the edges of his eyes but he wants to walk around, has normal breathing , no nasal discharge, he eats and drinks normally

ps he was living with other chickens before i took him home


i also wash his eyes with saline and apply a nitrofurazone powder to his eyes (nfz puffer to be exact)

IF I remember this correctly, look into cocci, I believe that is one of the symptoms. IF I am wrong hopefully someone will let you know......
Try using an EYE ointment to unstick the eyes. If you have nothing else VETRYCIN will work and not be harmful? IF the eyes are unstuck can it open them?
