Just brought home this hen yesterday. She was fine at 1pm, just checked on her at 6pm and she was limping with a noticeable swelling on her right foot.
Does it looks like a sprain or does it look like bumblefoot?

Looks like bumble hard to see real well the bottom of her foot Soak the foot real god in warm Epsom salt water 1 cup ES to 1 gallon of water the cover the bumbles with clear iodine til you can easily remove the scab then if the bumble doesn’t cone out with the scab use sterile tweezers to pull the plug out pus is cheesy not runny. Then use antiseptic spray and wrap the foot or keep on clean bedding until healed over. Veterycin works well

Thanks. I soaked her feet in Epsom salts for 10 minutes and was able to get a better look at things. It looks like she has several bumbles and the swollen part doesn't have a scab. I sprayed her feet with blue kote and let it dry, then put her in the coop with clean bedding for the night.

They use blue kote for bumble foot in pet rats and don't wrap the feet, so that's why I asked.

The one vet that I know treats birds here isn't accepting new patients. But I will see if I can get in anyway.
