swollen foot

Hi everyone,

our chicken has a badly swollen foot . It is a bulb on the bottom and between her toes. She is limping badly. What should we do?

Sounds like it could be bumble foot (an infection in the pad of the foot that swells up to the top). Do a BYC & google search on that term and see if that matches the symptoms, then follow their directions for cures.

I concur - probably bumble foot. Do a search for treatments or PC SpeckledHen - she's gone through it with her flock a lot of times.

A pic here would help make a definitive identification though!
