swollen head on chick? Help what happened?

I had a Cukoo Marans chick hatch in my incubater this morning and his head and neck look swollen . . What could be wrong with him????

That doesnt look normal for a Cuckoo Marans chick.


Perhaps it is a birth defect? Cant be sure, though. Hopefully someone smarter than me will come along a have more advice.
