Hi,
This is our first time with turkeys so excuse the ignorance. I have 7 turkey poults that are 3-4 weeks old. We have one that has ( from week one) had a strange neck position. Not floppy but just tilted off to the side a bit and squished down. We thought it was just a neck issue. It is of normal size and enjoys eating, drinking and foraging with the others. For the last few weeks it has been mostly sitting down as opposed to standing. It has one slightly swollen hock and prefers to sit rather than stand. It will "fly run" to catch up withe its buddies but won't stand for very long on the knee. We have been giving the turkeys actual turkey-specific high protein poult feed as well as vitamins in their water every day. I give the special turkey a couple drops of vitamins directly as well and have tried to do this ever since I saw the neck issue. None of the other turkeys have any kinds of issues. What can this be? How can we help it? I will try to post pictures tomorrow.
Thanks,
C
