Swollen Left eye/head

Good instructions from @Eggcessive

I'm glad you were able to remove the feather, hopefully the eye feels a bit better.
Keep us posted on how she's getting along.
This morning is day 3 of antibiotic ointment and Tylosin. She is holding her eye open all the time now and the swelling is going down except for a small area in the posterior area around her eye (Frankly, Iforgot to look at the top of her head to see how much swellinghas gone down. I'll be sure to take a picture at the next update.) I witnessed one watery poop yesterday but most are normal from what I can tell. Could this be from the Tylosin? I'm going to keep an eye on this now too.
(Food in the dish is some scrambled egg and chicken. She's getting and eating her regular Scratch & Peck 17% feed as well.with an occasional raisin for putting up with me being so in her face!)

@Wyorp Rock @Eggcessive I noted something that may or not be odd. Sharon is ravenous for eggshells all of a sudden. I figured she might want some since she's still giving me an egg 2 out of the 3 days I've been isolating her. I crushed up 2 full shells and she ate them like it was the best treat I've ever given her! She was still pecking when they were gone, so I thought I'd put some in her dish over night. Another 2 full shells...they were almost gone when I covered her crate for the evening!

Is this a new symptom or a side effect of Tylosin? Or totally unrelated?

I'm glad she's improving.

I agree, I don't think the medication is making her want to egg shells, she may just really like them, plus the eggs. She's getting "goodies" all to herself so she's enjoying it. :)

It shouldn’t be a symptom of Tylosin that she is taking egg shells. Is she getting layer feed? I’m glad that the swelling is going down.
Thank you...I'm glad too! I don't give them layer feed, but they always have oyster shell or their own egg shells available al la carte. (I have 2 roosters and understood they shouldn't have the extra calcium?)
