I have no idea what happened to this girl.

She has a very swollen neck and wattle. It's soft and feels filled with fluid. Everyone else is fine and she was totally normal last night when they were locked into the coop. She seems a bit slower today bit most ok. No other sympotoms that I can see.

Welcome To BYC

What's the inside of her beak look like?

Any abrasions, scabs or indication that's she's been injured or bitten?

I'd watch to see that she's drinking o.k. and eating.

Honestly she looks totally fine. is eating and drinking ok as well. It feels like an abcess to me, but I wanted to check here in case I'm missing some strange chicken disease or something. The swollen area is warm to the touch

I agree that looking for a sting or peck scab would be good. That could occur with a bee sting or injury. If she were acting sickly or lethargic, it might be something more serious. Watch for swelling to go down, and you could also give a one time 1/4 dose of human benadryl ( diphenhydramine) orally, or 1/2 a childrens dose.

I'm not sure what happened to her, and after checking her over really well, I still couldn't find anything obvious. I was able to drain it quite a bit so hopefully her body will be able to take care of the rest.

What about under her tongue, is there a "pocket"?

Could be an abscess, is vet care an option?
I didn't see any pocket under her tongue. I was 99% sure it was an abscess to begin with but wanted to make sure it wasn't something weird I wasn't thinking about.
