Hey there!
I'm hoping someone can help me out here because kind of freaking a bit

I went out to check on the chickens this evening and noticed a slight whistle coming from one of our pullets. When I picked her up for a closer look I realized that both nostrils were swollen almost shut! They aren't sticking out but rather kind of filling in the space. I grabbed some warm vetrx and rubbed it around her nostrils and under her wings as well as a few drops down her throat per the directions. She is eating and drinking normally and is acting fine with no other symptoms besides this. There is no discharge at all and no one else in the flock has any symptoms. Is there anything else I should do to try to help her??

I have something similar going on with mine I asked about, hoping someone chimes in...there nostrils are kinda disfigured and Idk if its for the swollen ness (probably) or what but that's really only symptom besides a little low weight

Possible upper respiratory infection or sinus infection
I'd try tylan50. dose for large birds is 1/2 cc small birds 1/4 cc given once daily in the breast for 5 days. Tylan50 is a very good antibiotic for respiratory infection. You can get the tylan and syringes at the feed store. Do NOT worry that the bottle says for cattle and swine.many many poultry owners including myself treat with tylan and have been successful with it. Its a very good antibiotic. If she were mine I'd give that a try. hope this helps and hope she gets better soon. You should notice a improvement in a few days with the tylan50. Good luck to you. Best wishes

I have Tylan50 coming in the mail, it should be here tomorrow. Thank you so much for the help! Is injection the preferred way to administer it or can it be given orally? Also, there are only 2 that are like this but they are in a pen next to my flock, should I treat everyone just to be safe even though they seem fine?
Thanks!

I'd just treat the ones that' are ill. Keep an eye on the others. Yes it can be given orally however if they are older and grown I prefer injection.if the birds are chicks then I would administer orally. This should for the trick for them!. Best of luck" and God bless
