Hello everybody, I have a hen that was severely picked on two days ago. I found her on the ground in the coop, her tail feathers mostly pulled out and she was picked on pretty good. I took her into the house and placed her separated in a box with fresh food and water. She was very lethargic and somewhat still is. She drinks water when I offer it to her but she won't eat. After I checked her out I saw that her bum is all red and swollen (size of a softball). I immediately thought egg binding. Her buttom was hard to the touch. Gave her a lukewarm bath, sat her with a fresh towel on my lap with a heating pillow (on low) and massaged her bum every so lightly with oil. Also gave her a crushed tums mixed with vegetable oil (don't have olive oil right now and nearest town is over 40 miles away). She was a little more alert after all that and even clucked a couple of times but still won't eat. I checked if there is an egg that is bound up but I couldn't feel anything. Her poop was kind of creamy with a light green and white to it. She doesn't poop much and she hasn't layed an egg either.
Does anyone has any idea what this could be? Her bottom is nearly bear, only a couple of feathers left but very much hard swollen and super red.
