This showed up sometime in the past 36 hours. I was in a rush yesterday, so didn't look at anyone closely, but it wasn't there when I put them to bed on the 6th, and it was there this morning, the 8th. Any insight is appreciated.
That looks like a respiratory disease such as MG or coryza. Sometimes an injury such as a peck mark can cause this. If itnot aninjury, I would start the chicken on Tylan 50 injections or on oytracycline in the water. Watch for sneezing, runny nose, any bad odor, gurgles or wheezes. Neosporin or Terramycin ointment to the eye would also help.
Any progress or updates on your chicken?
I have the exact same swollen eye in several of my birds and am starting them on sulmet. Vetrx has done nothing for them and sulmet is my next try.
They have no other symptoms, no smell, fluid discharge, weezing or sneezing, Just swollen around the eye.Been dealing with it for about 2 weeks.
