My hen Panner has had eye bubbles recently but I pushed it off as just getting dirt in her eye. I picked her up today and she was HEAVY, and she hasn't gained weight so she shouldn't feel heavier than normal. Her stomach and area between her thighs feels like its full of water, her crop feels full and squishy.

I googled water belly as I heard it before, it doesn't seem like it because she doesn't have any symptoms except for the squishy stomach.

How old is she? Does she still lay eggs? It might be internal laying. I am no expert but that seems like the next most likely thing. Let's see if we can get some real professionals in here @Eggcessive @Wyorp Rock . Good luck!

Thank you. She's around 2 or 3 years old, she still lays eggs. I didnt feel any egg stuck there when I was feeling around but it's still possible.

Can you post some photos of Panner? (eyes, how she stands, poop, etc.)

Bubbles in the eye can indicate respiratory illness like Mycoplasma - have you noticed any other symptoms or added birds to your flock recently? Have you tried flushing out the eye a few times a day and apply an eye ointment or triple antibiotic ointment in the eye to see if the bubbles improve?

I would re-check the crop first thing in the morning before she eats/drinks to see if it's empty (this is the best way to gauge crop function).
If she feels like she's full of fluid/water in the abdomen between her legs, sometimes that can be drained to help give some relief. Draining is not a cure but can make them more comfortable. Ascites can be caused by a number of things - heart/organ failure, some reproductive issues are also accompanied by fluid too. If there is fluid/swelling in the abdomen, that can cause the digestive system to slow or not function properly - this will in turn cause crop issues.

I'll get more pictures later. I didn't take pictures of her eyes, but they're bright and clear today. Her crop went down but felt a little squishy instead of firm and flat.

I've seen bubbles in Panners eye multiple times (a week between incidents usually) and I've only seen bubbles in my flock with one other hen once. I haven't tried to do anything about her eyes because it always went away quickly, I was told she just got some dust in her eye.

Thank you so much for your insightful comment, it helps so much. Thank you for putting so much time and effort into helping others

EDIT: I saw her poo today and it was pretty much all water
