Watching peanut has been coming up with new problems every day. A couple weeks ago I started to realize some bald spots on her head. I first thought my other chickens were packing her. But I haven't seen anything on that. I checked for mites and lice but nothing is visible. Could she be doing clumsy things to others off of her head. I have some photos attached down below. She also hasn't been cooperating for photos so it's a couple weeks ago with the photos. Her second problem is a swollen toe. On her right foot, middle toe oh, it is inflamed and swollen on each side. At first she hasn't been showing any pain or any trouble walking. Now when she was it kind of looks like it rotates/ twists. I have also attached some photos down below. She is now about 35 weeks old and has been laying constantly. Her toe feels hard on the inflamed bumps and where her pad is underneath is a little sensitive. Nothing has seemed to impale or cut her. It's almost twice the size as her other foot. I have anxiety so if you can get back to me really quicky with the best advice you can give, that would be VERY helpful. And sorry if the photos are bad quality.

Thank you

What does the bottom of her foot look like?

You have photos with a reddish looking light - do you provide heat in your coop?

As for the head, it's hard to tell, but looks like her comb has quite a few scabs likely from picking, so I'm going with the assumption the irritation on her head is also from feather picking/plucking.
Photos of her head and face (front, back and side views) may prove helpful.
Look her over for lice/mites, observe to see if she's scratching her head. Sometimes plucking doesn't occur during the day while the birds are outside, it happens at night when they are roosting. If you have light in your coop all night(?) then they might be more prone to picking as well.

When I observe my chikens I turn on our light in the coop also the heat lamp. The lamp does not give off to much heat because it is at the top of our coop and our coop is an tall outhouse. I am going to look for mites/ lice right now.

The bottom of her foot is not red or bleeding. The pad of her foot does look a little inflamed but doesn't seem to be too different than the other put. I will attach photos of her face.

She may have broken the toe at some point, hard to know what's going on with it. If it's been a few day, then it's probably already healing. You can leave it be and just observe to see if there's any changes over the course of a week or so or you can try wrapping to stabilize it. Wrappings need to be loose enough not to restrict blood flow and it's a must that the foot is checked regularly if it's wrapped.

To me, head feather loss is from picking, she's got scabs on her comb likely from picking as well.

I second that the feather loss is likely from picking that goes on when you are not around. As to the toe, while I can't say for sure what caused it, I can say I have had a few chickens with similar looking toes that stayed happy and healthy for the rest of their lives. Your bird should be fine.

Thank you so much for your help and I will keep you updated on what's happening. I will research and make sure nothing else is wrong. Thanks again everyone.

I'm thinking of getting a vet to come take a look at peanut. I do think her toe is broken.
