My poor little Bella is hurt. ☹️ I noticed her limping and she has an injured foot. Not sure how as the coop is safe and the other chickens are fine. I have pictures of both her feet so you can see the difference. The one toe especially is swollen.

I have been soaking her foot in Epsom salts and I then put polysporin (with no pain meds) on it and then wrapped it.

Is there anything else I can do for her? She is eating and drinking well and plenty alert. She hates being confined but I need to keep her seperate for now.

How old is she? Is she normally with other chickens of the same age? Do you think she injured it or was pecked? Could there have been a string, hair, or leg band around the leg that caused swelling. Leg bands can be put on by breeders who forget to mention them, and become embedded in the leg as it grows. Rodents can bite feet, but other chickens or she herself could peck at her foot. The Epsom salts and antibiotic ointment are good treatments.

She is about 12 weeks old and she is with other pullets her same age. There are a couple older ones (16 weeks) but they are super nice and not aggressive. There weren't any leg bands on her. I don't think something got wrapped around her toes but I can't say for sure.

I've read up on bumblefoot but this looked different so I just don't know what happened. I'm hoping the treatments help and she gets better real quick. I'm fairly new to chickens and I want to make sure I am caring for them properly! She is a very good patient and so sweet and tame so that makes it easier!!
