Another thing that will help after you dust your birds is to hang a pyrethin-soaked 'no pest strip' high in your coop away from food/water. They last about 3 months and your coop will be continuously treated for mites, fleas, ticks, gnats, flies, lice...can be used in houses, restaurants, hospitals, coops, barns. really works!

Sold at most hardware stores, tack shops, feed stores, agricultural supply stores, TSC...

I use FOOD GRADE Diatomaceous Earth (DE). I use DE where they dust bathe, in their nests, their litter, run, and all over their coop. I don't care if any gets in their food as I use Food Grade DE. I have no pest problems with my birds.
