Right Shirley became depressed 3 weeks ago, still eating and drinking but not laying. I gave her a warm bath and she laid a golf ball sized chalky ball which when unravelled was an large egg sack.
Then later that night she laid a normal looking egg.
A week later she laid a soft, yolkless egg and a hard 'odd' thing and no eggs since. Until this upset ive had an egg a day from her.
Today shes depressed and I can feel (I think) 2 eggs inside her.
Her poops are almost flurecent green.

Do I dispatch her? Let it run its course?

Or take her to the vets giving that they dont really want to see her as ''shes just a chicken and these things rarely get better so Id be wasting my money''. There words not mine.

Please advise as I want to do the best for my girl.

Start with taking a fecal sample in for them to check.

She might have laying problems and could benefit from an increase in calcium. There are several ways, Tums crushed and fed to her, preparations of liquid calcium that can be found at the pharmacy and feed stores.

Thank you for yur advice but shirley didn't make it through the day. When I checked her over after there was an enormous egg inside her and what seemed like another one behind that.

Im devistated but she must have been in alot of pain so shes in a better place.
