Fun times peeps. It’s flooding Iin my state atm and I’m quite literally cut off. The bridge is flooded and the other road out has collapsed in three landslides. Yay, and of course, guess who have decided to rear their heads. The panic buyers! So the shops have no food and no way of getting food, it could be a few weeks before the bridge goes down and the road won’t be fixed “in the foreseeable future” so yay. Oh yeah and the cherry on top is my dad is stuck on the other side because he was at a conference when the road collapsed. Lucky I have chickens, phew.

Can Hudson swim?

i just got this amazing mental image of Butter riding Huddie into the river accompanied by her amazing Great Dane companion with a chicken on her shoulder. Hudson of course with saddlebags containing snacks or space for groceries and Butter wielding frying pan to fry her chicken’s eggs, or for the inevitable attack of giant, deadly spiders or snakes.
You know, your average “I’m gonna pick up some groceries.”

Oh I have to think. Drought, bushfires (2013), more drought, floods (2016), drought and some small fires scattered around, fires (2020), floods (2021)
I think there may have been a time when I was little that it was normal.

No need, we are too high for the floods to reach us. And mum went shopping like two days ago.
Hahahahahahaha speaking of deadly spiders I had a funnel web on my front gate a few days ago, and worms over 50cm’s long. It was awesome!
