To tell you the truth I remember Ruby Ridge but not the details. I know that some have tried to make them in to heroes. It seems they could have surrendered, especially considering the children involved.
I watched Waco on TV every night till the feds finally went in. Once again they could have surrendered or at least sent the women and children out. I don't know what the feds had on either one of the groups. Since it didn't go to court we will never know. I'm sure you've read some stories or heard some from alleged experts on the matter. Like everything else I take it with a grain of salt. You can't even believe your own eyes these days unless you are actually there.

I just read the wik sight on Ruby Ridge. Sounds like the Feds screwed up pretty bad. Weaver screwed up too. He should have surrendered in the first place. It sounds like the shooting of his wife was bad marksmanship. The kid was standing behind the door with the baby and was collateral damage. Doesn't sound like they were using them for target practice.

So both incidents were based on alleged illegal weapons. Waco also had a huge stockpile of ammunition. With this latest report from DHS there is sure to be a lot of investigating. They're probably wondering why anyone would possibly need thousands of rounds. Possible subversive activity is a reasonable answer. If you see the feds driving up to your house you should probably walk out with your hands in plain view. Guns aren't worth dying for.
