table foods?

This moght be a stupid question, but can you feed chickens meat? What foods should you not feed them? also, my rooster likes to go and eat the dog and cat food. is that ok for him?

I have been amazed at the things that folks feed their chickens on the forum. Meat appears to be okay as well as pet food. I personnally feed only layer and veggies to my hens.( grass, leftover veggie plants) I just really cant imagine my eggs being made from dogfood! LOL this being said they will eat anything here but cabbage.

We get stuff out of the dumpsters from the stores in town and feed it all to the girls, they get cakes, pies, donuts, meats, veggies, yogarts, milk, fruits, you name it, whatever there is in there, I give it to the girls. I go thur it all and make sure there is no trash or anything before hand.

I suspose if they would eat each other raw whats wrong with cooked chicken? STILL I just cant do the dogfood thing, not on purpose anyway.
