Table scraps question.

My crew was not at all interested in my corn cob left over with still plenty of corn left on it in spots. But they will flat out fight over my herbs when I dead head them. What's up with that?? Other than the obvious chocolate, candies, and such are there any absolute no no's in table scraps? I eat pretty clean but I do use oil sometimes and spices. Sometimes fresh garlic. I love fresh garlic and onions.

Thanks! They don't get much because I live alone and usually cook just enough for me without many left overs.
