~~Dont forget an old rusted 2 horse trailer chicken coop!

...I might and try converting my old broken down and rusted horse trailer to a chicken coop, and then run it in the 2012 tacky coop and run contest.

This is "A little Love Shack" was suppose to be a tractor, but it just stayed in the first place I parked it.

This used to be a dog house that my husband thought one dog needed. They never used it so I turned it into 2 coops. A small flock of project Marans are housed on the left and my Welsummers are housed on the right.

This is the Marans Coop "The Blue Moon."

I will have to get pictures of the "Chicken Trailer" and old travel trailer that I turned into a grow out pen, 2 brooders and feed/sundries storage and I will get some photos of the "Barnie Barn" the Barnevelder coop.

I know it doesn't look too bad after my finishing touches with things I had laying around here but this was our first coop. It's 4 by 6 ft and only about 5 ft high. It had an attatched dog kennel for the run that was 10 by 12. The flock quickly outgrew that one and spent almost 2 years in our garage before the new coop was built.

Inside, the nest boxes I made out of an old partical board desk, darn near took up the entire inside of the coop, top part was a roost and the 2 sections below were for food/water/and grit/oyster shells

Instead of laying in their nests they decided to scope out the garden bed on the patio and lay in the flowers instead... Little divas!

They came and went as they see fit and loved the woods surrounding their coop area. The dog house you see there was also filled with fresh shavings and was a great hideout for them when it was raining.
