Enjoy your Light Sussex!

Wow!
Thank you everyone!
I have already found BYC very helpful.
My Mom thinks we should name the girls after Sussex Royals. Countesses Elizabeth, Francis, and Anne and Dutchess Augusta. ;-)

It turns out I have to put the coop in a back yard. So I guess I am fencing the back.
My house is way back on the lot so the back yard will be tiny. I guess there is no pasturing cickens on front lawns here.

Hi
The light sussex are great. Two of the hens lay 6 a week. One seems to lay 5. The 4th lays about 3 a week. All went broody at some point last fall. All did a molt after being broody. Then they started laying again in January and have been very steady layers since then.
