Hi there.
Im very new to being a Hen mother. My girls had worms and are mid treatment (vet guided). Ive noticed each time I collect my girls eggs that there seems to be one egg that has broken over another egg, ie just one full intact egg covered in yolk, amongst 1 or two other eggs that are not covered in yolk. There is no evidence of shell. My girls (4 of them) all us the same nest (3 available but they all use the one nest) and I collect the eggs daily.
Added to this I have one hen with her tail down. She is happily eating and drinkingand keeping up with the others, pecking and foraging to her wee chicken hearts content. But she appears to have scales on her lower leg that are peeling away and doesn't hop up like the others do she kinda flys up. So like today when I let them free range the other 3 hopped over a small concrete wall (about 20cm high) but she flew up?
Any ideas>?
Im quite worried. She is an older hen not sure how old exactly as she was given to us.
