I think if either parentage is an EE, then all offspring are immediately EE’s, but I may stand corrected.

Can one tell those traits at 4 weeks old?

Post a pic or two. Some EE have a sex specific pattern and can be sexed at 4 weeks.

Large red wattles at an early age, crowing at about 14 weeks are signs that you have a cockerel.

I've had them crow at 3, & 6 weeks.

Oh...well that's when my cockerel started "crowing"
I guess it just depends on the breed.
