Tail or no tail

Another question : What breed will turn out from an EE and a black Australorp?
Those chicks would not belong to any particular breed. They could be called mixed breeds, or BYM (barnyard mix or backyard mix), or mutts, or EE/Australorp mix.

If any chicks from that mix lay blue or green eggs, they could also be called Easter Eggers (EE), because that just means a chicken that lays blue or green eggs, and does not belong to any recognized breed.

From that particular mix, you are likely to get black chicks, although certain colors of Easter Eggers will contribute genes to make the chicks blue (gray), or white, or barred (white lines across black feathers.)

There is a good chance that chicks from that cross will lay blue or green eggs, but also a chance that they will lay brown eggs. It depends on the genes of the particular Easter Egger involved.

If the Easter Egger has muffs (extra feathers on the cheeks to make them look fluffy), then you should expect to see that trait in some or all of their chicks too. The same goes for a crest (a tuft of feathers on the top of the head), if a parent has the trait, some or all of the chicks should have that trait too.
