Hi
I'm new to chicken keeping, have had 2 marans since early Feb, enjoying them. Just last week they both stuck their tail feathers in the air and fanned them out, does this mean anything? They are free roaming mainly, but I couldn't see any predators. Also they don't always lay - do they get too hot, we do have a heatwave in the UK but they can hide under bushes.
