On the farm we have 4 Ameraucana roosters(all but one from TSC so who really knows exactly what they are). But where they once had beautiful, full tails, they now have stumps of feathers if not anything at all. All the other roos seem fine, no tail problems whatsoever, and the rest of their feathers are fine. Has anyone seen this before? Is it normal? I've tried looking it up a few different times, and I've come up with nothing every time.

Thanks,
Madie.

This is Owl. This is the best picture I could get of any of them, but they all look basically the same(besides being different colors).

Could you try to get a pic of them in the light? They might be picking them off each other. How many hens do you have? Make sure your ratios are right, or you’ll have to get rid of some roos or add some hens.

They might be molting. My roos lost all of their tail feathers for a month, and they they grew back. How old are they?
They're just a little over a year old, but they've also been like this since about September... I'm just now getting around to asking about it.

Oh, ok. Are they the rumpless aracauna breed? I don't know if they would ever have tails if that's what they are though
