Tailless Ameraucana Roos

If you look at pics on the internet is that what they look like? Did they have real tails before?

That's the thing is that they did have tails and then slowly lost them(in rather large chunks but over a long period of time). But looking at pictures they now look a lot like Araucana roos do...

Hm. I'm not sure. What members know about ameracaunas? I can't remember

This one is an Easter Egger not an Ameraucana. Any signs of mice in your coop? Mice tend to chew roosters tail feathers.

We do have lots of rats(haven't seen mice in particular), but that's why I've been so confused about it: why is it only the EEs and none of the other roos in the coop. There are 2 other roos in the coop and they still have their full tails, but the EEs have nothing...

That is odd. Maybe they have more brittle tails "poor genetics" and are breaking off.

your dominant males are probably plucking them out

Easter Eggers are usually near the bottom of the pecking order, so I’d agree with PoultryBonkers. How many hens to roosters do you have?

It's definitely not an optimal ratio... But I can't remember exactly how many it is... It's probably about 4 or 5(maybe 6) hens to a roo. They've also never seemed to have any problems with each other, but maybe I'm just missing it.
