What you might not be able to tell is that the top piece of "roof" over the nest box section is a hinged piece of siding that can be latched up to cover the opening under the top roof. That opening is covered with chicken wire, which will be replaced with hardware cloth. Yes, each of the windows can beopened into a nest box. each one can be propped open for ventilation and has a second door of framed hardware cloth beneath it.
