Been a while since I've tackled a wedding cake...but, friend is getting married so....I pulled my decorating tools out and went to work, wanted to show you all what I've got done so far...pretty proud so far, end result won't be til tomorrow, but it gives you an pretty good idea!!!!
Here's a pic of the florals for the cake.....

The bottom layer...with florals added.....

The top layer...no additions yet, I still have to finish the cake topper, and add florals, tomorrow...will be separated from bottom layers with pillars and florals.....

Last minute...(last nite) Bride asked if I could etch her glasses for her....here is a couple pics of those!!!

So all is coming together nicely...hoping for nice weather tomorrow for thier big day....Well, hope everyone enjoys thier day...will post pics of the complete cake tomorrow after set-up!!! Yeay!!!!

Very prettily done, the floral aspect is great, the piping is just gorgeous!

How did you etch the glasses? If those are hand done without a template, I want your steady hands the next time I have to have a shot!

you can see the differences, I do try to get them close, but guess that makes each unique(sp?)!!! I use a Dremel tool with diamond bits for my etchings. Now if I am asked to do like a child or person, I do use a photo for the outline, and shade without photo!!!
