Take out the golfballs???

So all but 2 of my hens are actively laying in both egg boxes. Right now I have 2 golf balls in each box. Should I remove them? I had an older vet tell me it would make my hens go broody earlier if I left them in after they started actively laying..

Thoughts?!?!

Reason I was going to leave them in is bc the remaining two hens haven't laid yet...

I just leave mine in even after they've been established layers. Sometimes they will decide to move their spot-or become egg eaters-so the ball is there to remind them where to go, and they can't eat it if they are curious
