Taking chickens on an airplane?

It depends, Frontier, Delta and Alaskaair are the only airlines that allow birds, whether chickens count as birds, I'm still looking. I too want chickens from NC.

Just out of curiosity, which breed? Are we thinking of the same thing?

Is it possible for you to get hatching eggs of the bantams? Those are no problem to fly.

Not exactly. I stink at incubating, my incubators are full, and these birds are so rare that there is very little genetic diversity. All chicks would have the same Dads and possibly the same Moms. Since the trio is available, if something did go wrong I don’t think I could get more eggs to try again. Thanks for the suggestion though!

I live in Northern CA, so any time I drive to Sothern CA, it's that long of a drive. I drove to Oregon to get some. That's an 8 hr trip.

Yep! I can post pictures assuming all goes well! This breed is so rare, there isn't even an American breed club! It's much more common in the Netherlands though. And no, it isn't Nankins.
