Taking chicks away from Mum

Hello experienced chicken raisers, I have a wonderful broody Mum who has hatched her second batch of some purchased fertilized eggs. I would like to hand raise 2 of the chicks. Can I safely take 2 day old chicks away from their adopted Mum? Regards, Shelley

Yeah, you can, long as you give them the proper attention also.

Though personally, I would just take one, they bond better to you that way.

But that's just me.
