Hi Everyone,

My first chick hatched around 15 hours ago, second chick around 12 hours ago, and the last one around 6 hours ago. I have left them in the incubator (which doesn't have food or water) and I am wondering when I should take them out into the brooder and feed them...

Thanks!

When they have dried out a bit, and they are looking "fluffy" it's time to take them to the brooder. If they are your only chicks, then you can reduce the humidity in the incubator, as this will speed up the drying process.

With so few, I'd wait until the latest hatch looks fluffy, and move them all together to the brooder. Don't worry, chicks can survive for 2-3 days without food or water, as they are absorbing nutrients from their yolk sac. Similarly, don't panic if they initially show no interest in eating or drinking.
