Hi all I wanted to ask the experts about quality of life, care and possible outcomes of taking in an adult hen who had a bad break and lost mobility in her leg, she is otherwise a healthy hen, around a year old, I believe she is a sapphire orpington, she is currently laying eggs to the best of my knowledge and is not integrated into her flock since the injury.
My flock is 6 serama, 1 silkie, 1bantam mix, and 3 ee, my question is if I do bring her in will she be able to thrive with a mostly smaller bird flock, or is she better off being alone, I have space and willing to modify to allow her success, I simply don't know of my ladies would let her.
