I asked the same question- here's the answer:

You can mix and match colors to your hearts content.

Sizes are recommended as follows:

4 - baby chicks
5 - small pigeons
6 - month old chicks and medium pigeons
7 - bantoms and lg pigeons
8 - Leghorns, Anconas, Guineas
9 - Large Leghorns, games, Ducks
10 - Minorcas, Wyandottes, Crossbreeds
11 - Rocks, Reds
12 - Orpingtons etc
14 - Turkey hens, large males, geese
16 - turkey toms

totally interested but can you tell me do these grow with the chicks? Or do we have to keep switching them as they grow?

I am not sure how often they have to be changed. The smaller ones are pretty flexible, but as they get bigger, they are less so.

When I get them in stock, I am going to make sample packs that have one of each size. This will help people know their sizing.

For those of you who are a product of Happy Valley- if you highlight and copy the paypal address to then paste when you get to paypal- if you copy the last period (that ends the sentence) the email address will be invalid and you'll sit for a bit before you figure it out( or longer than a bit). I will be placing my initial order tomorrow. So hopefully, I should have all kinds of ID bands by the end of the week. I will send out the minute I get them in stock.

I am also making a website where you can place orders there. It is taking some time because I have to figure out how to do it!

Size 6 blue (to mark the month-old chicks I guess to be boys)
Size 6 pink (to mark the month-old chicks I guess to be girls)
Size 6 black (to mark the month-old chicks I do not mind selling)
Size 7 purple (to mark the bantams that have placed CC in a show)
Size 7 black (to mark the bantams I do not mind selling)
Size 12 purple (to mark the LFs that have placed CC in a show)
Size 12 black (to mark the LFs I do not mind selling)

With shipping, my total should be $10-$11, I think.
