And yay for new chicks! Lol my neighbor can do that because she's got so many birds. I added 6 dark brahmas onto my Meyer order for her, and I'm pretty sure it's so she could sneak them in.She paid me in cash for them, so no transaction to check.

We live next door to each other and became fast friends after they moved in. She got chickens before me and has had them almost 2 years. Now that I have them, we are each other's enablers, lol. She found my d'Uccle pair I'm getting this weekend for me.Oh that's funny lol![]()

omg it is so adorable! I have never seen one of those irl, only in pics from my friend who raises those. I unfortunately do not have it's host plantsI don’t raise butterflies, but found this guy on my shoe as I was doing chicken chores last week. What a great find. Hard to see that happening in nature with butterfliesI don't raise butterflies inside but we do grow numerous host or nectar plants on our property for the winged beauties. We'll even tolerate stinging nettle growing nutsy in the yard in late winter thru early spring for the Red Admirals.

I'm so sorry about your babies, that's tough. It was a very busy weekend, but a good one, overall. I lost a chick on Saturday morning. We had to euthanize one. It wasn't fun at all, but she was a failure to thrive and it was the merciful thing to do. But I'm getting 2 new babies this weekend. 8 week olds, a pair of Porcelain d'Uccles! Yay! This week will be spent getting my poor house cleaned up after spending all weekend working outdoors, lol. How was your weekend, anything fun going on this week?

hehe that's the way to do it.oh no im sorry to hear about your chick, sometimes it hurts to do the right thing , and it was good i got a lot of yard work done and we got a new blueberry bush from lowes, its like 4ft tall i will have to post a pic ....then i saw someone in my hometown had some chicks for sale so i bought 3 while hubby was asleep and snuck them in the house![]()
So adorable! No more caterpillars at my house...Must be too cold. Also haven't seen any butterflies. They must have started migrating already.

What a great find. Hard to see that happening in nature with butterfliesWe used to have a patch of stinging nettle and the red admirals went all over it but to my dismay my parents chopped it down.
